On Tuesday, September 21, at 7:00 pm, "100 Voices: A Journey Home," a new film inspired by a 2009 cantorial mission to Poland, will be screened simultaneously in nearly 500 movie theaters across the United States. The 90-minute documentary chronicles the cantors' journey, which included performances at the National Opera House, Warsaw's Nozyk Synagogue, and the Krakow Jewish Festival, and a memorial service at Auschwitz. According to the film's web site, 100 Voices "tells the history of Jewish culture in Poland" and "highlights the current resurgence of Jewish culture" there. Read more about the film, watch the trailer, and see theater locations at www.100voicesmovie.com. The film is showing at a number of theaters in the Greater Boston area.
