During the twentieth century, the second largest Jewish
population in the United States lived in the Dorchester,
Roxbury, Mattapan area of Boston, now known more
familiarly as the DRM.
The mission of this project, SIDEWALK MEMORIES,
is to document a living record, on video and on the
Internet. It highlights the social life and economics in
Boston's Jewish community of Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan
during the 1930's, 40's, 50's and 60's.
