What do you do with all your records, documents, photographs,
collection of anecdotes, and, above all,a Family History Book (easily, inexpensively, and with flexibility on your own computer, using programs you already have) Merle Kastner Sunday, June 12, 2011 1:30 PM Temple Emanuel, Newton, MA your family tree? How do you compile and display it for other family members and for yourself? In this lecture, Kastner will show how to create inexpensive family books on one’s own computer, in very small quantities, using software that most of us already have. Merle Kastner is a charter member of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Montreal and is currently Program & Publicity Chairman. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery association. She has been researching her family roots in Romania, Poland, Moldova, Lithuania, and Belarus since 1993. Merle publishes and presents on a variety of genealogical topics and has created a number of family history books for various branches of her family. A brief Annual Meeting of the JGSGB will precede the program. Admission is free for members, $5 for
non-members.
Refreshments will be served. A flyer in Adobe PDF format is available from our website at flyer.jgsgb.org (and a Russian version is available at russian.jgsgb.org). We encourage you to print it out and post copies in places where you think it would attract attendees, such as synagogues, community centers, supermarkets, etc. _________________________________
