The posting below comes from the email list of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS), the umbrella organization to which JGSGB belongs.

The program sounds very interesting, since the Library of Congress is a valuable resource for genealogical research. However, I cannot find it listed specifically in my Verizon FiOS guide for any of the C-SPAN channels. If anyone discovers when and on what channel it will be shown in the Boston area on the various television providers (Comcast, RCN, FiOS, etc.), please let me know so I can share the information. Or just check your C-SPAN channels at the indicated times on Monday.

The Library of Congress is the largest library in the world with
nearly 150 million items. It was started in 1800.  Some of the treasures
include maps( the largest collection in the world), books, photos,
presidential papers, historical newspapers including Chronicling America
http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/.

If  you are planning on attending the 31st IAJGS International Conference
on Jewish Genealogy hosted by JGS Greater Washington, you may wish
to visit the Library of Congress--this is a great primer!
