Upcoming Release of the 1940 U.S. Census

The 1940 U.S. Census will be opened to the public on April 2, 2012. Although it will take some time before indexes become available, there are ways to find information without an index. Legacy Family Tree offers many webinars that are of interest to the genealogical community. They are free for a time, and after that they may be purchased on CD. A recent webinar was "Navigating the 1940 U.S. Census" by Thomas MacEntee. The webinar was live on March 7, and it is available for free for listening until March 19, 2012. The webinar prominently focuses on the tools available on Steve Morse's website.
