Here is some information on classes and resources for getting started and continuing Jewish genealogical research.   We encourage you to share this with friends and family who are new to genealogy.

Online courses

JewishGen offers online classes, with the next round beginning in February. Read the descriptions, requirements and enroll at www.jewishgen.org/education

Exploring JewishGen starts Feb 1. $18.
Creating KehilaLinks Web Pages starts Feb 1. $36.
Basic Jewish Genealogy starts Feb 5. $80.

Independent Study starts Feb 15. $150

Beginners' classes


The International Conference on Jewish Genealogy, taking place in Boston on August 4-9th, will offer a wide selection of lectures and workshops for beginners.  The schedule will be posted in the spring on the conference website www.iajgs2013.org. Our Society’s 8-session course for beginners, held at Hebrew College for the past 5 years, will be offered again after the conference.  It will be announced on this list.


Lectures and films - In the Community
