World Premiere Film & Speaker Breakfast

“Project D – Remembering Dokshitsy” - a documentary short edited by Michele Vlakov

Sun., Mar. 17th, 10am-12pm at Temple Israel, 125 Pond Street, Sharon

Join Temple Israel Brotherhood for a special premiere of a new  documentary  about the effort , led by Aaron Ginsburg, to help a local government in Belarus restore a Jewish cemetery, and preserve the memory of the Jewish residents of Dokshitsy, Parafianov and other villages in Eastern Europe. Hear the story of how one American Jew brought together a local government with a worldwide network of descendants to  dedicate a memorial to this  Jewish community, and to correct a 1965 memorial that denied the Holocaust. After the film Aaron Ginsburg will give a presentation on the story behind this long journey.  

Admission (includes film, speaker and breakfast): $8 adults in advance ($10 after March 13) / $5 students / $36 Sponsor (includes 2admissions; if more than two are attending at the Sponsor level, add $9 per person)
