Learn How to Research Your Jewish Family History

FOUNDATIONS OF JEWISH GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH

An award-winning, comprehensive introductory course

Eight Monday evenings starting February 3, 2014, 7 PM, at Hebrew College

The course is designed to provide serious adult students with the skills and knowledge to research their Jewish family origins.  There will be illustrated lectures and three individual student help sessions. The course includes research methodologies, guidance in using U.S., European and Israeli resources, reviews of online sites and social media, and relevant world history and geography.  It is taught by experts from the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston.

For those who miss a class, lectures are audio recorded and available on a private course website that also contains the complete PowerPoint slides and materials distributed at each lecture.

The course is limited to 24 students and has filled every year. In 2009, it received the Outstanding Program Award from the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies. Tuition is $250, payable to Hebrew College.
