Elisa New will trace the journeys of family members from Eastern Europe
over five generations as she unravels the mysterious etchings on her
great-grandfather's ornately carved cane. In her journey to discover
the origins of her precious family heirloom, she traveled from
Baltimore to the Baltic to London to tell the story of the family's
migration. The talk will include a discussion of the tools she used in
